My Personal Story
When I started my psychology studies at the University of Trier in 2012, a friend gave me a book that would change my life: *“Nonviolent Communication”* by Marshall B. Rosenberg.
I realized that, although others often described me as “empathetic,” I had never truly shown real empathy. Determined to learn more, I traveled throughout Germany for years, attending seminars on nonviolent communication and empathic listening.
Through this, I learned that empathy does not mean agreeing with someone (“That’s terrible that he said that!”), giving advice (“Don’t worry, you’re doing great!”), or blaming yourself for others’ suffering (“What did I do wrong?”).
Empathy requires us to clear our minds and listen to others with full presence. It means truly understanding what others are experiencing AND (just as importantly) becoming aware of what you yourself feel and experience.
How Can I Help You?
As a relationship therapist and mediator, I act as a neutral facilitator. Without taking sides, I listen to your stories, genuinely trying to understand what each of you feels and values. In this way, I can help you reconnect and build a safe foundation of respect, mutual understanding, and warmth.
I can also assist with specific conflicts, disagreements, or events, such as discussions about parenting, processing infidelity, or other emotional experiences that have damaged trust in the relationship.

My Approach to Relationship and Family Therapy
For years, I have worked as a psychologist, and empathy remains a guiding principle in therapy. I believe that the roots of anger, sadness, and helplessness in relationships often stem from a lack of understanding of our own needs and those of others.
Blame and judgment block relationships. Creating space to listen and understand what the other person feels and needs is one of the most valuable gifts we can give each other.
This is precisely the space I aim to create in the relationship and family therapy that I offer.
Family and partnership should be places where we feel at home – places of safety and security, where we can give and receive love.
Unmet needs, pain, misunderstandings, and judgments, however, can block this love and safety.
Professional Background
I studied psychology (M.Sc. Clinical Psychology) at the University of Trier. I then completed several specialized training programs, including empathic communication, MDSR, family constellations, and Authentic Relating.
I continually work on my personal development. Since 2022, I have been undertaking postgraduate training to become a psychotherapist, where I learn to help individuals and families cope with complex psychological issues such as schizophrenia, borderline disorders, and psychopathy.
